Bringing a dog to the groomer, there is typically an agreement that they’re not going to go all-out with the pooches haircut. Of course, that’s not always the case. Take these canines, for example. They came home with some hilarious dos. From a full shave to dinosaur-inspired cuts, here are some hilariously horrible dog haircuts.
This Rocker Dog Isn’t Sure About His Orange Mohwak
Don’t let the mohawk fool you; this dog has no idea what just happened and why people think he’s about to belt out a verse like David Lee Roth. Just look at his little eyes; they look so confused!
Hopefully, the owner knew they’d come back to the groomers with this awaiting them, or else the orange hairdo was probably a very unwelcomed surprise. It’s okay, little guy, you make it work.
When Your Groomer Thinks You’re A Minecraft Dog
Scene: The owner walks into the groomers and asks for a subtle trim around their dog’s eyes because it’s getting way too long. They come back an hour or so later to find that their dog has been replaced with a character from Minecraft. End scene.
It seems as though the only way this groomer knew how to trim around the pooches eyes was to give him a blockhead. The good news is that it will grow back out.
This Pooch Is Having An Identity Crisis
Apparently, this owner was distraught over the fact that they weren’t allowed to have a panda bear. So, clearly, the best plan of attack is to get a dog, bring it to the groomer, and give him a haircut so they look like a panda.
This poor thing is probably so confused and going through the biggest identity crisis. In his mind, he’s most likely wondering why his human is treating him with bamboo sticks instead of cookies.
The Fifth Member Of The Beatles
How a groomer was able to cut this dog’s hair in this exact way will forever remain a mystery. The good news is that he’s kind of pulling off the 1960s Beatles look. He could have been an honorary mascot for the band if he’d been around!
Even so, looking at this dog’s eyes, it doesn’t seem as though he’s overly fond of his new hairstyle. At least it’s a conversation starter.
It’s Not A Phase, Mom
Clearly, this owner is a huge fan of Pete Wentz, and the early 2000s Fall Out Boy craze. Why else would they give their dog a haircut that screams “skater boy.” He even has the whole peephole with the long side!
Well, they’re going to have to deal with an emotional dog now because that is a face that screams, “No. It’s not a phase, mom. I’m going to wear my hair like this forever.”
The Dino-Dog
If this dog’s owner didn’t tell the groomer that they wanted their dog to look like a stegosaurus, they probably weren’t overly thrilled when they went in to pick the pooch back up.
Between the solid mohawk going down the length of the dog’s pine to the fluff all around its neck, the groomer wanted to make sure everyone knew this pooch wasn’t playing around. The new look probably gave him a little bit of street credit.
Dog? Donkey? Or Is It A Horse?
Honestly, the species of this creature is very much up in the air. Is it a dog? Or is it a donkey or horse? The very precise haircut is making us take more than one double-take.
It seems as though the dog isn’t even clear if he’s a dog anymore. He’s just standing there, legs spread wide, in a very “I’m not moving until you fix this” stance. Sorry, kid, but there is no fixing that hairstyle until the fur grows back out!
Who Knew A Dog Could Have A Permed Mullet
Between the full-on beard and permed mullet, this dog is probably regretting the day he got in the car to go to the groomer. The entire hairdo is most likely the reason he’s not even glancing towards the camera.
Honestly, we can’t really blame him. We wouldn’t want to be photographed with that hairstyle! Well, maybe if it was the 1980s, but even then, at least everyone had horrible hair!
The Potato
When it comes to rough haircuts, this dog might be the ultimate winner. At this point in his life, he’s more of a potato or rock than a dog. Just look how solid he looks with his circular hairdo.
The only thing that even remotely lets people know that this is, in fact, a dog are his tiny feet poking out of the bottom and his snout. Otherwise, he’s nothing more than a ball of fluff.
“This Is The Last Time You Choose The Haircut”
This poor husky had no clue he would walk in the groomer as a full-blown snow dog only to walk out missing a majority of its fur. Seriously, what type of person thinks shaving off a husky’s fur, except for its head, arms and legs, and tail, is a good idea?
Now, he looks like he’s wearing fuzzy snow boots with a very perplexed look on his face. It wouldn’t be surprising if he ran away from the groomers next time.
This Literally Looks like Two Different Dogs
We’re really not sure what the groomer was going for with this haircut. It seems as though the dog isn’t really sure either, since he looks very concerned about how awful he looks with his head and neck shaved and literally nothing else.
It almost looks like two different dogs! That’s how awful this pooch looks. At this point, they really should just shave all of the fur off and start from scratch.
A Bowl Cut But Make It Around His Body
This tiny dog brings a whole new meaning to a bowl cut because it isn’t on his head but around his entire body! Did they use a bread pan as a measuring device since it’s approximately the same size as the dog’s torso?
At least he’s standing tall and proud, giving a look that dares people to make fun of his new look. Don’t worry, little guy; it will grow out eventually!
Ironically, After The Cut, He Still Can’t See
We might be wrong, but don’t people typically bring their dogs to the groomer to get their long hair out of their eyes? If that is the case, then this owner has no clue what they’re doing.
It seems as though they trimmed virtually everything, but the poor pooches head, leaving his long fur to cover his eyes in one of the more boy band cuts a dog could pull off.
The Face Of Defeat
To say this dog is not happy with its latest haircut would be an understatement. While he’s not voicing his complainants, the look of utter despair is clearly written all over his face.
His mouth is literally turned down into a frown. That is pretty impressive for a dog! We don’t blame him, though. If we walked out of the salon with this Dumb and Dumber hairstyle, he wouldn’t be the happiest camper either.
Yea, The Sad Eyes Make Sense
This haircut might be awful, but it is also hysterical. He looks like a young kid who is too embarrassed even to contemplate going outside for fear of one of his friends seeing his horrible new hairstyle.
And it’s not just the fur on top of his head either; it’s the whole matching beard, too. At the end of the day, this little guy’s extremely sad eyes make a world of sense.
He’s Not Too Excited About His New Afro
Being so small, this pooch didn’t stand a chance of getting away from the groomer. He’d be caught before he even made it off the table. He probably wishes he took the chance, though, considering he doesn’t look overly happy with his result.
While we think he looks dashing with his afro, his sad puppy eyes tell a story of embarrassment and never trusting their human when they say “let’s go for a car ride” again.
When You Have Better Hair Than Your Owner
Okay, besides the fact that this dog has a hilariously awful haircut going on, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some of the best fur around. Just take a look at that side swoop! He literally looks like a dog model getting ready for a photo shoot with Vogue.
Still, it isn’t normal for a pooch to have a silly side part, even if it does make him look rather suave.
Petite Goatee For The Win
There is a reason this pooch looks like a little demon, and it has nothing to do with the green eyes and everything to do with the petite goatee he’s rocking. The facial hair makes him look like a mean older man.
Even though he’s trying to smile with his tiny teeth, it’s not really coming across as nice. More like he’s going to stare into a person’s soul until they also sprout a mini goatee.
I’m Not Amused, Mom
While some people enjoy making their dogs look funny. This person took it to a whole new level. Who in the world heads to a groomer and says, “Yes, I would like you to shave everything but the head, legs, and the tip of the tail.”
And, really, just the tip of the tail and not the whole thing? The result looks like a messed-up pompom. And the worst part about it is that this dog definitely knows it looks silly.
Can’t See But At Least He Looks Cool
If there was ever a dog to make a shaggy hairstyle look cool, it’s this guy. While the owner definitely didn’t have to go and shave the rest of his body, at least the early 2000s surfer bro hairdo is working out.
He even looks kind of happy about it, with his mouth open in a little smile. Too bad he really can’t see, though. Hopefully, he doesn’t run into any trees playing outside.
