What Happens If A Bunch Of Ladies Surround Her?
We know a few noisy pale-faced ladies who would fit this description. We're going to assume that this is her mom, best friend, or someone else who totally gets her level of humor.
As you'll see there is no shortage of friends and family members who use humor to poke fun at their family and friends. And kids even get on the act more than we would have thought is normal.
Mom's A Lot Of Work. Your Turn, Dad
This little baby looks way too sweet to have caused any issues for mom when dad was away. We have to believe the sign is true though because the baby even signed their own name, which was promptly translated by mom.
As a parent, I'm pretty sure the baby was slightly more work to take care of than mom. But only by a very slim margin, which I would never admit to my own wife.

His buddy isn't just a cowboy, he's apparently a sexy cowboy. This is what happens when your friends have no shame and will do anything to get attention at the airport.

If you can't embarrass your best friend while picking them up from a long trip should you really be friends at all?
Okay, maybe that's a bit harsh but this "Welcome home from prison, Sam" is a reminder that the people we love the most will go out of their way to make us blush while surrounded by a group of wary, probably tired, fellow travelers. This is the type of funny airport sign I would personally use. It satisfies everything we should love about funny airport signs. First, it's ridiculous and second, it could be absolutely true and nobody would be the wiser.

First, this little girl took the time to write a welcome home sign and for that, we have to commend her, it was a very sweet gesture.
She's either welcoming home Brandon or Grandma based on our best guesses. The sign is basically hieroglyphics but the look on the little girl's face adds to the funny airport signs message. Sometimes the person delivering the funny airport sign is a big part of the humor behind the sign and that's definitely the case this time.

"Guy who knocked up my sister" is both an honest statement and incredibly funny. Sure, it's a bit immature and an obvious joke but adding in the public humiliation to the mix creates a cringe worthy laugh.
The only problem which this guys sign is the size of the final product. If you really want to have a good laugh at someone's expensive, you have to create a huge sign that's sure to be seen by the most possible people.

When you see an airport sign that says "Go back 2 Cali Jody, we hate you" it's probably safe to assume the sign was written by Jody's brother. Our best guess is that she was visiting from college or returning home after leaving for work.
Whatever reason Jody has for returning home, we're sure she's feeling all the love from this sign, especially when it was shared with all the strangers who were also at the airport with her.
Getting Off On The Right Foot With Your New Family
We really want to believe this is a funny airport sign and not a call for actual help. Time with the in-laws can be stressful, not that our own family is any better much of the time.
We're going to guess that they wanted to make a great impression on their family and that they were told humor is the key to earning their respect. Either that or someone is going to have some very long and silent family gatherings to look forward to in their future.

This guy took the prank one step further, creating the "Chocolate Johnny" sign. Admittedly, we mostly laughed at the awkwardness of this entire photo. We're also curious to know where Chocolate Johnny got his nickname from.
This Isn't Weird At All
Whether I was Alice or a random citizen, we would probably laugh at this sign and then run in the opposite direction.
This sign is definitely funnier if the guy is actually waiting for someone named Alice and not simply trying to pick up a random citizen. It also makes us question if he really cares whether or not Alice shows up at the airport. We laughed but we're also slightly disturbed by this funny airport sign.
Funny Signs At A Military Base Airport Are A Bit More Extreme
When you haven't seen your significant other in months at a time, it's not really a surprise that your signs at a military airport can get a bit more frisky than the average humorous sign found at public airports.
As this woman proclaimed to her loved one "prepare to be de-briefed." Most de-briefings probably bore this soldier but we have a sneaking suspicion he'll gladly reporting for duty this time around.
When Mom Asks Dad To Pick You Up At The Airport
This is why dad's shouldn't be allowed to pick up their children at the airport. The more we think about this, we really hope Rebecca checked under the mask to verify the guy picking her up is actually her dad.
The best part about this funny airport sign and accompanying costume is that her dad gets to hide behind a costume while Rebecca is forced to publicly show her face to all the strangers she happens upon while inside the airport.

The woman in this photo does a great job of selling the hilarity of this airport sign. Again, the real trick to pulling off a hilarious airport sign is to go all in with not only the sign but your own dedication to the sign's messaging.
Nicknames Are Fun
There's nothing to see here, just two wanted posters for "Looney Lynn" and "Crazy Craig." You can almost always spot signs for family members based on the blatant attempts at family humor.
In all fairness to these two airport sign creators, Looney Lynn actually looks a bit looney in her photo. Craig looks normal but crazy can be a little harder to spot. We only wish we could have seen the reactions from Lynn and Craig.
We Laughed But This Was No Laughing Matter
Normally we wouldn't laugh at someone else's misfortune but it's really hard to not laugh when the person on the receiving end is called out for their bad behavior behind their partner's back.
We're pretty sure this guy was shocked to learn about all the stuff his girlfriend knew about his time away from the house. If we were him, this would be a perfect time to run turn and run in the opposite direction. Also, who sends 15,688 text messages in 212 days? She's honestly better without him.

Whatever the case might be, we laughed really hard at this sign and then we started questioning humanity immediate afterward. At least the guy is a good sport about it or at least he's smiling on the outside.

As someone who owns several dogs this funny airport sign hits me in all my feels. I love that it starts with a sweet message about love and quickly turns into a quick chronicle about the dog's eating a couch.
I'm not sure if I would have ended the sign with "Welcome Home!" but at least they know the dogs love them so much that they'll eat a couch in protest of their short-term departure.
This Guy Scores Extra Points For Creativity
If you're going to create a funny airport sign one surefire way to grab everyone's attention is to make it interactive.
We get that pointing at ourselves with our thumbs and saying "this guy" is played out. However, if you create a cut out with drawn on thumbs, the joke is somehow heightened. We're sure Taylor and Steven had a great laugh over this sign and that's the entire point of creating these weird artistic masterpieces.
Two Very Different Stories To Tell
On the one hand, the daughter is welcoming her mom home with a simple message. On the other hand, dad has issued a full apology for the messiness of the house.
We mostly laughed at these airport signs because they highlight the differences between men and women with very few words. If I was the dad, I would make sure my wife saw my daughter's sign first, just to soften the blow.

True friendship is definitely finding old photos of your friends and embarrassing them with those photos at the airport.
If you want to up your embarrassment game you'll use several photos, clearly list your friends name, and then laugh at the absurdity of your own creation as you show it off. This woman has basically mastered the art of publicly trolling her own friends and that's something we can appreciate.

This sign stinks. Not literally, but also kind of literally. I don't know that we would want to even walk up to this person if they were sent to meet us at the airport. The cost of an Uber might be worth not having people you may know think you're on the way to this convention.

We laughed and then we realized this guy could have been attempting to make a legitimate statement, although given the look on his face, he was just trying to embarrass a buddy and make people laugh.

This guy is happy to be picking up his mum, or dad at the airport. He plays the straight man role really well with a face that doesn't display any signs that this is a joke.
We laughed at the sign because "Mum" is cross out and then we laughed a second time because if it's not true, dad is going to be getting a lot of looks from people who think his transformation is pretty incredibly and now he looks exactly like a man.

So this is how we see this going down. This woman thinks the person she's waiting for at the airport will see the sign, smile, and then she'll call them out in front of everyone.
Instead, after holding up the sign for just a few minutes, more than 100 people walking by have stared at the sign and smiled, leading her to feel incredibly uncomfortable with the situation she was solely responsible for creating.

This is a great Phoebe shoutout that he made his own. We're kind of hoping this wasn't supposed to be an intentionally funny sign and that someone is walking around in this work with that actual name.

We've already seen one excitable military airport sign and here's another one. We have to admit from "de-briefing" to reporting for booty, these signs are clever and brutally honest.
While we'd love to believe this guy had a good laugh about the sign, he actually looks like other things were more on his mind. We can't blame the service member, after being deployed they finally got to come back to their significant other.

We have a feeling that this guy was a driver sent to pick up Mr. Dan Gleeballs and that the real person he was picking up would reveal themselves to actually be named John Smith or something equally as non-quirky.

If you're unfamiliar with being ICED the concept is simple. If someone places a Smirnoff Ice in plain sight and you see the Smirnoff, you have to chug the entire bottle. It doesn't matter if the beverage is cold or warm, you're put on the spot.
This made us laugh not because of the sign but rather because, honestly, who ices someone in an airport and who accepts the challenge. Adding a giant green neon sign declaring what's going on, though, is a nice humorous touch.
Waiting On The "G.O.A.T"
We get it, there are many people named Michael Jordan, honestly, we only laughed at this sign because the guy holding it up seems genuinely excited to possibly meet the greatest basketball player of all time.
At the same time, would anyone really be picking up the G.O.A.T with his name written on a cardboard sign? We have a feeling that the former Bulls stars travels with a bit more sophistication.
