You Can’t Miss These Ridiculous Car Wraps Spotted On The Road
The original purpose of vinyl vehicle wraps is to protect your car and advertise a business. Local plumbers, moving services... any company with a utility vehicle could advertise their logo and contact information as they made their rounds throughout the day. But the vehicle wraps you're about to see are not intended for practicality. Unless you think making a concrete truck look like asparagus or adding a shag rug wrap to a Porsche is practical. Yeah, it gets that weird.
A Beloved Watermelon Bentley
This driver threw a whole lot of personality into their six-figure vehicle. Let's start with the fact that this driver can afford a car that starts at over $100,000. Of course, there are many Bentley models that are valued at $150,000-$200,000.
But considering that this Bentley is wrapped like a watermelon, we're going to say that this isn't one of them. Whoever decided this was the thing to do clearly has no problem making money. So we're going to go ahead and say you do you.
A Car Wrapped Up In A Dream
When people ask you what your "dream car" is, it's likely they aren't literally asking you what a car would look like if your dreams were to be painted on it. But someone did it.
There's a lot going on with this car wrap that looks like it was inspired by a Dr. Seuss book. There's not enough time to figure out what's going on here before the light changes.
Pink And Teal Leopard Coming Through
It might be wild enough opting for a leopard print wrap on your car-- but this driver took it a step further than that. This Scion is wrapped up in pink Leopard print on a teal background.
We're willing to bet $20 that this vehicle belongs to a 16-year-old girl. But if that's not the case, more power to them. Drive down the main strip and show off those spots!
They Know People Be Hatin'
Some people let the price of their car do the talking, as a status symbol in their driveway. But once this driver purchased their BMW they knew that was not enough. They went ahead and found someone who would add a Gucci print wrap to it.
Of course, haters are gonna hate, and this driver clearly received a comment or two about their wrap job selection. They're not interested in wasting their breath, so they'll let the license plate respond for them.
Get In, We're Going To Outer Space
This car looks like a galaxy crossed with a unicorn. Its space-like appearance definitely has some underlying tones of unicorn with its pinks and purples mixed in.
With a wrap job like this, you'll never have to worry about finding your car in the parking lot. Just look for the circle of people taking photos and wondering what this car is wrapped for. Get in and find out where it goes!
The Kitten-Rainbow Lambo
Another expensive set of wheels with a wrap job-- the owner of this Lamborghini knows exactly what they want, don't they? How else would you end up with an emoji of a kitten wearing what looks like some sort of cookie, blasting out a rainbow on your car?
Maybe they're saying this Lambo is powered by kittens and rainbows. We're not really sure where they were going with this but we like their energy.
Tiger On The Loose
You've seen a leopard print wrapped car and now we have a tiger print car. Only instead of the car being wrapped up in a tiger print, it's wrapped to look like the body of a tiger.
Discretion is not an interest of this driver's, as once you go full tiger on your convertible, there's really no going back. This car is sure to cause some wrecks turning heads on the roadway!
How To Ruin A Porsche Without Crashing It
When you think about destroying a Porsche, you think of a terrible crash, or even a small scratch! These cars are works of art and are usually treated with respect.
The owner of this car decided to turn this car Porsche into a nightmare in one easy step: an absolutely hideous wrap job. The texture is some awful shag rug with various shades of brown and a logo across the hood. Whatever you're advertising, we don't want it.
Cars Should Be Seen, Not Camouflaged
This driver thought it would be stylish to put a wrap on their sports car, to make their car unique from the rest. While a white and black artistic print sounded like a good idea in concept, when it's put on the vehicle it just makes it blend in with the snow!
Imagine driving on a snowy day and seeing a car's taillights ahead of you at the last second. This driver threw safety out the window with this wrap choice.
Eat Your Asparagus
Parents are always trying to convince stubborn children to eat their vegetables. Maybe this was the solution behind the age-old problem: paint some vegetables on a concrete truck that kids love.
We're not sure this odd concrete truck wrap is the solution to any problem, but it sure is entertaining. Who called in this request? This driver is forever known as "the asparagus truck guy" because there this nothing that could happen that could overshadow this.
Fully Tattooed
Either the driver of this vehicle is covered in tattoos, or they're afraid of needles and decided to put them on their car instead. Another Ferrari to make the list, this one has a full gold wrap on it with Japanese-inspired tattoo designs laid on top.
The car wrap changes the entire aesthetic of this expensive vehicle that starts at $200,000 and can cost more than $600,000 with customization. Like a tattoo, we hope the driver doesn't have any regrets about this choice!
Nothing Illegal Going On Here
Some cars are just asking to get pulled over and this is one of them. The Godfather film series isn't about law-abiding citizens. And someone who decides to take their fandom on the road with them might want to think twice.
This vehicle is a billboard for the mafia cruising down the street. With blacked-out windows and a portrait of Marlon Brando across the passenger seat, people might be a little suspicious of what's going on in there, or where they're going.
Wrapped Like A Teddy Bear
The driver of this car is out here proving that they will never grow up. The owner of this Fiat decided to go with a textured car wrap that would convert their compact car into a teddy bear.
Clearly, this car wrap is not practical in any sense, as rain, snow, or dirt would be extremely difficult to wash out of this fur! As you can see, the driver had the wrap perfectly trimmed and customized to fit the body of the car, but we'll never understand why they chose to go with this.
That's One Way To Do It
We can't all afford to purchase a 1969 Dodge Charger like the General Lee vehicle that appears in The Dukes of Hazzard. The driver of this Volkswagen van came up with a creative solution once they came to terms with the fact that one will never be parked in their driveway.
The VW van has been wrapped in black with a General Lee Dodge Charger painted over it just right, so that the wheels match up.
Meet The Man Behind The Art
Here he is, the artist himself. This company is the one to call when you're looking to get a ridiculous wrap job on your own vehicle. And wouldn't you know it, the van is wrapped.
We're willing to bet that this van turns plenty of heads on the highway. What at first glance looks like a younger attractive woman driving a convertible ends up being a guy in a work truck.
Back Off
This driver works for a business that designs signs, so he put some extra thought into what he wanted his custom wrap to look like on the back of his truck. He decided to scare some drivers and anyone walking by his truck in the parking lot with this wrap.
It cleverly makes it appear like the truck's bed is empty and an alligator is ready to confront the car behind them.
Spiderman's Ride
When you're a kid, you dress up like Spiderman. When you're an adult, you dress your car like him? The owner of this sports car wanted to take their love of Spidey to the next level by wrapping their vehicle in his costume.
There's no second-guessing what their intentions were with this one, as the graphics make it clear. Although it's a bold choice, the Spiderman colors match the aesthetic of the sports car.
Driving Tigers?
This vehicle wrap depicts the Flying Tigers artwork from the WWII Air Force. The fighter squadrons became famous when John Wayne and John Carroll starred in the 1942 black-and-white film Flying Tigers.
Instead of painting the art on a fighter plane, this driver decided to throw it on their Pontiac Firebird. The mouth is made to perfectly fit the grill of the car. While this car wrap is definitely out there, it's done pretty well.
A Preppy Look That Falls Flat
This BMW looks like its mom might have dressed it in a nice vest and sent it off to grade school where it got picked on by the other cars. This car wrap looks like it might have intended to be a sporty look, but it came out all wrong.
The shapes and the colors make it way too busy without adding to the look of the car. Another expensive car totaled by a wrap.
Don't Look Behind You
This is the last thing that you want to see when you turn in look in your rearview mirror-- this, or a semi-truck without brakes-- but this is up there on the list. Who would think to add this hideous wrap to their vehicle?
Clearly, this is custom-ordered, because we don't believe we've seen many of these out on the roadways. This vehicle is beyond creepy with this human-dog creature of a wrap.
Curtains, Maybe, But Not On A Car
Someone tried to snap a photo of this car before it passed them by, and who could blame them? The wrap on this car looks like the pattern could have been better off used on curtains or a throw pillow.
The detailed blue and white design is extremely busy, even for this small car. it even wraps over the back windows and the taillights. Maybe someone wrapped this car up as a gift and is on their way to deliver it, because it looks like a present on wheels.
I'd Rather Be On A Motorcycle
It's fair to say that a Smart car isn't the average person's dream vehicle. Apparently, even the drivers who buy the car aren't happy with their purchase. It looks like the driver of this car wanted to purchase a motorcycle to commute in, but his wife said it wasn't safe.
Instead, it appears that they agreed on getting a Smart car for the commute instead, and someone appears to be a little bitter about the decision.
One To Scare The Kids
Many of the wrap jobs on this list have questionable taste, but this one will actually scare the daylights out of someone on the road who takes a second glance. The driver of this Honda Element decided to add an element of fear into his car wrap.
It looks like a purple ape fueled by nuclear chemicals has set out to attack the driver. He's even painted himself into the scene on the side of the door.
Hot Like Fire
Is it bad luck to put a custom wrap on your car that makes it look like it's on fire? This Nissan looks like it was sent straight from the depths of a volcano, or Dragon Ball Z.
While most people opt for "fire red" or maybe a bright yellow, this driver went full-on fire. We'd think it'd be hard to argue your way out of a speeding ticket with this vehicle.
Warning: Car Wrap Does Not Improve Durability
Here's another Smart car owner that isn't quite sure that's what they wanted to order. Is this car trying to say that it's tough as steel? As far as we can recall, this car doesn't have the best crash test safety ratings and we don't think a "steel" car wrap job will do the trick.
To add to it, the wrap includes caution striping along the bottom of the door. The resale value of this vehicle isn't looking great!
Gotta Run
Everywhere this person drives, it looks like they're running underwater. While some of the car wraps with lower extremities are customized to fit the driver, it looks like there are many different people jumping behind the wheel of this vehicle, spotted overseas.
We're just not convinced that this driver has legs that are this muscular. And taking a second look, we're not really sure what we're being sold here. Lost in translation?
Working Hard, Or Hardly Working?
This guy decided to wrap his car in a scene that depicts the interior of the car. If you want to take a look at what you can steal out of this car, here's your shopping list. Maybe it's this worker's way of tricking his clients into thinking he's busy at work.
He parks the van outside of the job and walks to the nearest McDonald's for a long lunch.
Aloha!
This guy took Aloha Friday to the next level. In Hawaii, workers are encouraged to wear "aloha shirts" on Fridays-- adding some aloha spirit and color to the end of the work week with colorful floral printed shirts.
But this guy decided to take it the other way with his truck wrap. Instead of wearing an aloha shirt he painted himself wearing floral shorts on the bottom. He looks happy with his decision.
Oh, You Did This On Purpose?
Most drivers dread the day that they spot rust on their beloved car. A small spot of rust can quickly turn into an expensive bill at the autobody shop, or worse, a water leak from the roof!
But this driver isn't afraid of a little rust. Instead, they're embracing it like aging fine wine. They took a perfectly good van and wrapped it to look like it's been sitting by the beach for 30 years. We're just not sure why.
Squiggly Wiggly
This driver seems to be right at home in this art-loving district. Not only are the streets filled with art, but the cars are too! We're not sure what vibe this car wrap is trying to give off.
It's busy and a little weird, but not really colorful. If they were going for sleek, they missed the mark. It looks like their car is dressed in a really odd patterned coat.
Hey, That's A Little Mean
This entire bus is wrapped in an advertisement for Weight Watchers that pokes fun about being overweight. The entire back of the bus is wrapped to appear that the passenger on the far right is so heavy that they're causing the bus to lean to the right.
The Weight Watchers logo is tipped, as well as the shape of the bus. We're not sure if it will get anyone to join their program but it might make drivers think twice about eating that pastry they picked up!
Bob Makes Everything Better
Bob Ross is the artist known for turning little accidents into art while painting. The former The Joy of Painting host has become a cultural icon with his large hair and happy attitude.
The owner of this vehicle decided to put a wrap on the hood of his car featuring Bob Ross painting on the hood of his car. It's confusing but we're hoping that if Bob were still alive, he'd approve.
I'd Rather Be Surfing
There's nothing worse than sitting in traffic, and the longer you sit waiting, the more you think about all of the things that you'd rather be doing with your time. This guy would rather be surfing inside the barrel of a wave, and he wants everyone to know it.
Instead, he's surfing in traffic and it doesn't even look like he has a surfboard with him. Oh well, this car wrap is sure to get a few laughs and smiles along the way.
Super Busy, Gotta Get Going
Here's another vehicle wrap job that put the art ahead of the importance of everything else, including the back windows. This print is so busy, we can't even tell what it's made up of.
Whatever it is, it totally takes away from anything else that you'd notice about the car. It's not offensive due to its color but it definitely doesn't improve the view while driving behind it on the road.
Yellow Swirls, Just Because
Here's another car wrap that's difficult to find the inspiration behind. Just what were they thinking with this one? The yellow and black match the colors of a taxi, but you'd never confuse this car for that.
It looks like this car used to be part yellow and part black before being driven through a car wash to swirl the paint colors together. The result isn't great and we don't think anyone would want to be seen in this vehicle!
Tiger Attack!
Another vehicle wrap to entertain the kids in the backseat, or freak out the parents in the front seat is this one! This tour bus features a larger-than-life tiger printed on the side of it.
The tiger is tearing into the van, smashing the windows and ripping open the insides. A kid who just woke up from a nap might wonder what happened while they were sleeping on the way to grandma's house.
You Wish
This worker is driving around in a van delivering packages but they're rather be ripping up the road in a sports car. Maybe the business is trying to drive the point home that they're the fastest delivery service available, even in a van.
Or maybe the worker likes to keep a visual reminder of what they're working towards with every paycheck. This is another vehicle wrap job that perfectly lines up the wheels!
The Secret Is Under The Hood
At night this van might trick some people-- the vehicle wrap is just that good. This large van was wrapped entirely in black before designing the lime green muscle car over the side, perfectly lining up the wheels.
This vehicle wrap is not only accurate in dimensions, but the colors almost make it look real! We can appreciate that art on this vehicle. Even though they'd rather be driving a muscle car, at least they got the look down.
Paint It Prime And Start Over
This vehicle wrap job looks like a disgusting petri dish. Right?? Once you see it, you can't un-see it and it's just gross. The shapes on the wrap couldn't be anything else.
And what about the accentuated taillight and headlight? There seems to be red and yellow painted around the lights but the reason is unclear. Whatever they were going for with this vehicle wrap, they didn't hit the mark. Instead, they're just confusing people wherever they go.
Poser
This truck, covered in a wrap that looks like a surfer sitting in the line-up in the ocean, made it all the way to the beach! Here they are on the gorgeous coastline, but this guy isn't even getting out of his car to surf.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you would call a poser. All day he looks like he's ready to surf but when he makes it to the beach, he'd rather sit in the truck.
