While they might look professional most of the time, even teachers have off days. Have it be a ridiculous hall pass of their face or even using a chair as a straight edge, there are some teachers out there who deserve a gold star for major classroom fails.
So, to the students who didn't do too hot in school, here are some teachers doing the same.
Killing The Canabalistic Class Fish
It isn't uncommon for primary schools to have a class pet. In this case, it looks like the class had three fish: Bonnie, Clyde, and Bubbles. Sadly, it looks like they "went fishing," aka, went to a big pond in the sky.
The thing is, the teacher could have said anything else but "gone fishing." it makes it sound as though the fish are going to eat other fish.
It's Called Improvising. Look It Up
No one can fault this teacher for his improvisation. He needed a ruler and couldn't find one so he used the closest straightedge available -- a chair. The thing is, he's clearly a math teacher.
How he doesn't have a ruler on standby is uncanny. Also, a textbook would undoubtedly be easier to hold with one hand, just saying.
Finals Week Is Hard On Everyone
Finals week is a struggle. It comes after days of studying and pulling all-nighters, and students feel the pain and fatigue once the actual exam rolls around.
Well, as this teacher shows, without any shame, is that he is feeling all of those things, too, wearing pajamas to class while his students take the test.
Something So Controversial And Yet So True
The man at the table is a famous meme, and this teacher decided to use it to his advantage at school. His statement, "rhinos are just out of shape unicorns."
Honestly, sir, there is no changing your mind or even arguing the statement because that statement is so controversial and yet so beyond true.
Sir, You Have Way Too Much Time On Your Hands
According to a Reddit user, this isn't a class, per se, but an after-school Dungeons & Dragons club. While a stereotype revolves around D&D players, namely that they spend a lot of time playing the game, this teacher brings his obsession to a whole new level with the calligraphy.
Seriously, writing like that on a whiteboard takes a whole new level of skill and concentration.
The Wall Of Shame
There are numerous actions students do that probably tick teachers off to no end. This teacher decided to take a stand, making a Wall of Shame for his students with what looks like mug shots.
Instead of a police department name, though, he had them write what they did wrong on a piece of paper!
Trying To Be Hip And Cool
Honestly, is there anything more cringe-worthy than an older teacher trying to be hip and cool and relate to their students? Well, this one tried their best to bring Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" into the classroom.
While the sign is funny and makes total sense if a student actually wants a grade, it is still a bit eye-roll-worthy.
The Dad Jokes Are Strong With This One
Teachers have to make themselves laugh during the day, especially since they're teaching virtually the same thing more than once.
This particular teacher went the dad joke route, printing out a piece of paper with Christopher Walken's face and the horribly amazing pun, "By Scheduled Appointment Only. Walkens Not Accepted."
This Hall Pass Is One Way To Get Kids To Stay In Class
Sometimes, a student has to leave class, have it be a bathroom break or getting called down to the office. This teacher is taking no prisoners, though, making sure her students know that they better make it quick if they leave her class.
Seriously, giving students a huge picture of her face to carry around is definitely one way to have them never leave class again.
The Dog Ate My...Students' Assignments
There really can't be much worse than being a teacher and having to go into class telling the students that the dog ate their assignments. The dog in question also looks very happy with himself!
Either way, everyone should definitely get an "A" and the dog a gold star for being a beautiful boy.
A Professional Way Of Telling The Class She's "Sick"
Everyone needs a mental health day every once in a while, including teachers. They do deal with students all day long, and it must be tiring.
At least this teacher has a sense of humor about the situation, giving her students a PowerPoint slide pretty much saying, "sorry I'm not there but not really, so here is a picture of me looking professional instead while I'm lying in my bed."
Even Teachers Have Learning Curves
Distance learning was a huge change for a lot of people, including teachers who have never had to teach an online class. This teacher just so happened to be lesson planning and shopping at the same time.
Thankfully, the link she sent was nothing more than an innocent flower pot for their garden!
There Is Zero Cheating In This Class
According to a Reddit user, their teacher made their way up into the rafters to overlook their class while they took a test. There are many questions that need to be answered in this circumstance.
The first was how she got the idea to hide in the ceiling like a squatter, and the second was how in the world she actually got up there.
Way To Call A Kid Out!
As a teacher, it must get annoying to have kids "forget" to hand in homework assignments. And it must be even more annoying when it is one kid that does it all the time.
After a while, it clearly isn't a mistake. They're just not doing the work. Well, this teacher had a sense of humor about the situation, giving the student a "Bermuda Triangle of Missing Assignments" award.
When The White Board Marker Is Actually A Permanent Marker
Ah, the age-old mistake of writing on the whiteboard with a permanent marker instead of an actual dry erase marker. The worst part of this fail, though, is this isn't any whiteboard; it is a smartboard.
This is one expensive mistake that is not going to bode over well with the principal.
This Chemistry Teacher Decided To Break Bad
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. In this case, when in chemistry class teaching the chemical equation that makes up methamphetamine, do as Walter White would do in Breaking Bad.
That means facial hair and his signature hat. Is this a fail or a teacher seeing an opportunity and rolling with it? The world may never know.
Math homework is the bane of a lot of students' existence. And Helmut is about to be the other bane since he decided to go ahead and tell the teacher that they accidentally gave the students the answer key!
Helmut, give your peers a break and, as Elsa says in Frozen, let it go.
Locked The Classroom Keys In The Classroom? No Probblem!
It looks like even teachers lock their keys places they're not supposed to. This teacher accidentally left his classroom keys locked inside his classroom. According to their Instagram, this isn't the first time it has happened either.
Now, they carry a toolbox around, complete with an electric drill, to remove the grate and crawl through the door!
Beanbag Gone Bad
This poor teacher. They were doing nothing more than refilling the classroom beanbag chair with new beans, something they most likely had to pay for out of pocket.
Sadly, the beans had other plans and decided to completely fall out of the bag and onto the floor in a staticky mess that would take forever to clean up.
A Morbid Sense Of Humor. Sorry, Pluto
When it was declared Pluto was no longer a planet, sadness and confusion swept through schools like the plague. Pluto was already named and had been taught as one of the planets for a very long time.
Well, this teacher was taking no prisoners. They put a R.I.P sign directly over the former planet's image to ensure there was no confusion.
The Students Can Just Make Another Pot In Ceramics, Right?
After weeks of working on a pottery project in ceramics class, these students will have nothing to show for it. After taking the work out of the kiln, this teacher accidentally lost their balance and dropped all of the projects.
While all of the pieces are clearly broken, maybe they can paint the pieces and make a mosaic?
Just A Chemistry Teacher Setting A Table On Fire
While chemistry class tends to have Bunsen burners lying around to conduct different types of experiments, the flames don't typically make their way to the actual table.
But typically is the word to look at in that previous sentence since it looks like this teacher set fire to his workstation. His smile is very telling.
Burning The Handprints The Children Made For Mother's Day
A lot of people might remember this project from primary school -- making a handprint mold to paint and give to their mom on Mother's Day. These kids were probably very excited to make their presents.
The thing is, this teacher accidentally forgot to check on the molds in the kiln and overbaked them by a few minutes, totally burning the prints! Of course, the moms will undoubtedly love them all the same.
Yes, That Is Candle Wax All Over This Teacher's Lesson Plans
Lesson planning can be a hassle for teachers, especially if they can't think of something fun to go along with the lesson. Having a notebook out with a cup of coffee, this teacher was most likely in the middle of getting their work done.
Then, boom! A total catastrophe in the form of candle wax spills all over their notes. How this happened is a total mystery.
Sorry, The Dog Ate Your Homework
The horrible part about this teacher's day is the fact that their dog didn't eat everyone's homework, just this one student's. Now, they're going to have to pull them aside after class, which will have the student think they're in trouble, just to tell them, "sorry, my dog ate your homework."
They should get an "A" just on principle!
Staying Seated Until The Bell Is Not An Option In This Class
Many teachers hate when their students begin packing up before the bell rings, often telling them to sit back down even if there are literally five seconds left in class.
Well, this teacher was taking no prisoners, completely blocking the door and armed with a yardstick to ensure his students' stay in the room.
Apparently, Late Assignments Are Not Acceptable
Many teachers have a late assignment policy, namely giving the student partial credit for the work. This teacher has other thoughts on the matter.
It looks as though they don't accept late work, as seen by the chalkboard clearly labeled "Late Assignments" with an arrow pointing directly to the garbage can. Wow, tell the students how you really feel!
Chairs. Chairs Are Sturdy, Safe, And Will Make A Person Taller!
This teacher clearly needed more room to write his notes on the chalkboard. And while normal people would perhaps grab a nice sturdy chair to stand on, he decided to show off his acrobatic skills and balance on the tiny ledge designated for chalk.
Here's to hoping he didn't fall and makes better choices in the future.
At Least He Commited
Giving students visual examples during a lesson is a great way to engage all types of learners. Here, the teacher might have taken the example a bit too far, proving that he has a big mouth by sticking his entire fist inside.
There must have been other proofs he could have rolled with!
A Fail Or Utter Genius?
Either this is a total teacher fail or utter genius since this teacher doesn't have to use one of those tiny erasers to take care of his entire whiteboard.
The thing is, someone on the custodial staff most likely isn't too thrilled their mop is missing and being used as a gigantic eraser.
